as soon as

次第 means that as soon as the first action is complete, the next will follow. Attach it to a verb's masu-stem. The second clause is usually a future intention or request, and never a past event.

Examples

• 詳細しょうさいが分わかり次第しだい、ご連絡れんらくします。

  Shousai ga wakari shidai, go-renraku shimasu.

  As soon as the details are clear, I'll contact you.

• 雨あめが止やみ次第しだい、出発しゅっぱつしましょう。

  Ame ga yami shidai, shuppatsu shimashou.

  Let's leave as soon as the rain stops.
