worth; enough to

に足る means sufficient or worthy enough to do something. Attach it to a verb's dictionary form or a noun. The negative に足りない means not worth. It is formal and used to judge whether something merits an action.

  Kare wa shinrai suru ni taru jinbutsu da.

  He is a person worthy of trust.

• 取とるに足たりない問題もんだいで、悩なやむ必要ひつようはない。

  Toru ni tarinai mondai de, nayamu hitsuyou wa nai.

  There's no need to worry over such a trivial matter.
